COURSE OUTLINE:

The courses consists of the following steps;

Student will go through the complete course and review all sections and also familiarize themselves with the firears. To complete the non-restricted it is an eight hour course plus time for doing the written and practical tests.

To add the restricted course it requires a four hour course and must be completed no later than 6 days after completing the non restricted course.

To do the restricted only the student must have a non resticted PAL or proof of taking the non resticted course and this course is six hours plus testing..

The written test which consists of fifty questions relating to the firearms regulations and safety will then be given to the student who must have a minimum of 80% to pass..

A practical test to show the challenger is proficient in handling a firearm will be done and again the student must pass this test with a minimum of 80% and also pointing the firearm improperly or other major infractions will cause a fail, therefore it is imperative that the students review all firearms during the training.

The examiner will assist the applicants in filling out all relevant documentation to apply for a Possession and Acquisition License [PAL] and a photo will be taken to send with the application.
